Gana-A'Yoo, Limited is seeking a Risk/Safety Manager to join our team. Under the supervision of the COO, this position is responsible for the establishment, coordination and oversight of the Corporate Insurance Programs, Management and coordination of the following programs:  Claims Reporting, Management and Administration; Corporate Insurance Administration; Safety and Loss Control. This position will interact with executive management, subsidiaries and support function groups for the purpose of planning, managing, and maintaining coordination and oversight efforts.  This position will participate with staff working groups and/or steering committees to establish integrated risk and safety corporate-wide programs.  

Primary Duties include:

  • Cultivate a culture of safety
  • Administer OSHA reporting
  • Manage Safety Programs
  • Manage Risk
  • Manage incidents on a case-by-case basis
  • Conduct trainings
  • Manage Safety Committee  
  • Manage insurance
  • Administer internal reports
  • Establish resources and contacts
  • Review contracts and ensure safety-related compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, risk management or related field of study and ten (10) years of relevant industry experience with specific experience in the areas of: regulatory compliance, commercial lines of property, casualty and workers' compensation programs, and claims management. Master's degree in business, finance, insurance, risk management or related field of study preferred.
  • High School Diploma and fifteen (15) years of relevant industry experience with specific experience in the areas of: regulatory compliance, commercial lines of property, casualty and workers' compensation programs, and claims management.
  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
  • Experience managing workers compensation, property and casualty claims programs.
  • Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Skype for Business, and a web collaboration tool such as Google Docs.
  • Demonstrated ability in compiling and working accurately with large quantities of data.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:  The majority of work is performed in an office setting and interfaces with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
