Job Summary: The Contractor shall provide inventory management and storage management support to the Supply Office.  The Contractor shall be responsible for the daily operation of the individual combat equipment (ICE) issue point which includes the inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehousing of all individual combat equipment and any other such security equipment as required. Typical warehouse support tasks include providing inventory management support of individual combat equipment assigned to the MCSFBn. Utilizing best business practices to maintain accurate and timely inventory management. Conducting and documenting weekly inventory spot checks and reporting results to the Supply Office. Assisting DGR to establish reorder levels for all assigned line items sufficient to support the lead time of replacement equipment, reporting of all line items approaching reorder point utilizing established reporting formats.  Assisting with scheduled periodic property inventories, providing shipping and receiving support for the contracted Chemical/Biological/Radiological/Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment.  receiving/logging in/forwarding results of CBRN mask fit testing to the contracted CBRN facility for Naval personnel during check-in, receiving and distributing CBRN kits issued by the contracted CBRN facility to Naval personnel. Receiving/packing/shipping CBRN kit received by Naval personnel during the check-out process. Picking up and delivering material for shipping and receiving, performing daily pick-up and delivery of all supply materiel from base reception point(s). Processing receipt paperwork and notifying the Supply Office. Processing shipping paperwork in accordance with current policies and directives, maintaining required historical voucher file of all receipts and shipments. Providing engraving support using the Government furnished computer-aided engraving machine. Receiving and logging requests for the engraving of signs/nametags/plates using various metal and plastic materials for official command use.  Maintaining thorough familiarity with all operations of assigned computer-aided engraving machine using the appropriate operator manuals.

Reports to: General Manager

Required Qualifications & Essential Functions:

  • High school Graduate
  • 12 months experience in military warehouse operations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a drug, reference, and background check
  • Must possess a Secret Clearance
  • Contractor personnel must have experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms, skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock and experience in forklift operations. Contractor personnel shall have the ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools and to follow oral and written instructions.

Shall possess 12 months of specialized experience that include:

  • Personnel shall have experience in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment.
  • Personnel shall have experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques.
  • Personnel shall have experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.

Physical effort:

  • For this effort, Contractor personnel often stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. The work effort involves bending, stooping and working in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Contractor personnel may lift and carry items that weigh up to 45 pounds as part of the regular work effort. The heavier items are moved with material handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.

Working conditions:

  • For this effort, Contractor personnel work inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted. Contractor support personnel are regularly exposedto the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock or mechanized conveyor systems and may be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, and solvents and to high noise levels in working areas. When working in hazardous material areas, the Contractor support personnel may be subject to exposure from radiation, toxins, explosive hazards or chemical fumes. The work effort may require wearing Contractor-provided personal protective equipment/clothing such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks and rubber aprons
