Job Summary

Project Manager (PM) will oversee, supervise and maintain a large team of contractor employees. PM will meet with the various points of contacts related to the contract at least once a month. Responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the work activities on the contract, largely related to personnel activities. Act as the principal point of contact between Kaiyuh Information Technologies, LLC (KIT) and the Government through the Contracting Officer Representative and Contracting Officer.

Ensures timely availability of personnel and the quality of the services KIT provides. The role of the PM is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the contract. PM meets strict deadlines within budgets. This includes the coordination of resources, the efforts of the team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the contract. The PM also oversees performance quality control throughout the contract life cycle.

Required Qualifications and Essential Functions

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Business Administration,Human Resources or similar field
  • 5 years' supervisory experience with the last three years showing demonstrated direct supervision of other employees
  • Must have a strong background in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process
  • Must have previous experience in managing employees and resolving performance issues
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prefer writing and/or editing experience
  • Must have knowledge of the federal government and the contracting rules and regulations and schedules; Previous government contracting experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a citizen of the United States (U.S.) or possess a valid U.S. Immigration T-151 or I-94 Alien Registration Card
  • Will sit, stoop, stand, walk and spend time in front of a computer with repetitive typing motions majority of the day
  • Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred but not required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check


  • Act as liaison between company and client
  • Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
  • Establishes and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s)
  • Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers, strong customer service skills required divisions or units, or customers and the Company
  • Ensures training and safety measures are implemented and enforced

Performance Indicators

Some key business indicators that will measure the effectiveness of the Project Manager. These include the following:

  • Monitor the projects and project tasks from inception through delivery, interfacing with internal and external customers
  • Organize project activities that may require internal/external meetings and communications to ensure that project/program are on schedule and within budget
  • Assign and monitor work to technical personnel as required, providing support and interpretation of instructions and/or objectives
  • Provides analysis and recommendations for the selection, development, and evaluation of project personnel to ensure effective and efficient operation of the projects
  • Provides recommendation for contract negotiation and manages relationships with vendors and agencies
